Would anyone like to be interviewed?

I can send the email address of the person who is doing the interviewing and the other details I've left out for privacy if anyone is interested. PM me if you'd like the email addy, etc.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi,
I'm a reporter doing a story for **** about claims of "cures" for disabilities, and I think the autism cure claims are the most obvious.
I have a child with Down syndrome, so I know what it can do to parents to be told they can "cure" their child with vitamins, etc. I'd really like to talk to some parents who have felt betrayed by Jenny McCarthy and her claims..

Can you put me in touch with some parents who might want to talk about it? I'd love one who actually tried Jenny's formula, as well as some who never gave it credence...

I really hope this gets a lot of attention, Eos. I'm hoping our forum folks have a few stories to tell.

I don't know if the families of people listed here would be willing to talk about their experiences - memories and emotions could be understandably raw - but perhaps some of the folks listed over at http://whatstheharm.net might have family members who're willing to be interviewed.

That's sort of a touchy thing, I know, so I suggest this with some trepidation - "Hello sir/ma'am, I'd like to interview you about the therapy that maimed/harmed/killed your child/sibling/spouse..." - but there may be a person or two who'd be willing or maybe even enthusiastic to tell their story. It's a thought, at least.

I remember my mom trying all kinds of crazy diets to "cure" my brother of his autism. The worst one (from the viewpoint of a kid) was the no sugar diet. I used to sneak off to my best friend's house to eat junk food.
