Wordpress Theme Help?

I am trying to convince my parents to use Wordpress for their information only site: http://thewanderingjew.net

My dev site: http://www.southfresh.org/dad/otb

I'm stuck in getting the loop to flow into columns while keeping keeping each post stacked directly on top of the next one.


You can see the difference between the two sites pretty easily. I'm trying to avoid using tables if possible. Advice?
