Wisconsin District to Teach More Then Evolution

I thought Wisconsin was outside "jesusland" and in those progressive/secular blue states or "the United States of Canada".

The U.S. will eventually end up a third rate county, too scared to teach science. Walmart Republicans will be too busy arguing about which version of the ten commandments gets taught in school while big money will pay to import skilled workers from abroad.

And who would want to come to the U.S. and work in a compound that keeps them away from good god-fearing (or since it'll be a totalitarian theocracy, STATE-fearing) Christians?

No, big money will simply leave. It's cheaper and more efficient to put the production on foreign soil, and ship it into the U.S.

But don't you worry. The U.S. has 'infinite' national resources to pay for imports, just like all of those 'third world' countries used to. Too bad you don't own any of it.

And when the trade deficit has eventually become bad enough, and people are burning $20 bills for heat, and Mexico is patrolling its border to keep illegal immigrants out, it will eventually be cheaper and more efficient to set up sweat shops here for our own 'huddled masses' living in ghettos. You won't be able to afford to buy anything you're making, but you'll earn enough to tithe, and maybe even eat, too. As long as you're the right sort of Christian, anyway.

You are so right evildave. Bad regulatory practices aren't driving out american business, its one retarded county in wisconsin allowing creation to be taught.

I see the critical thinking hats are on tight tonight.

I'm hoping that this aberration will be corrected much like Kansas was. It took two years for Kansas but Wisconsin should react much faster since its a more progressive state in general.

Remember Corplinx's motto when taking on this stuff:

"in science class we teach science"

Its simple, makes sense, and doesn't offend the believers.

Unless they call it "Creation Science" and insist that it IS science. And no, one little backwater county will not bring down the empire. Lots of them adopting the same kinds of practices might. Especially if science retreats to religion.

School districts can't afford to be continuously sued like this. What happens when the Christian Supremacists get a precedent, and try to fight for it everywhere? When we continue to make schools into legal battle zones instead of places of learning?

As for the money going overseas, it's been going overseas, and there is no evidence it will stop going overseas. The only policies our leadership are interested in are outside the borders, and primarily have to do with what can be blown up.

He's a 'war president', you know? Do you honestly believe that after four years of the status-quo of exporting jobs that congress or the white house will reverse themselves and make changes? He's got 'wars' to fight, and can't be bothered with this economic junk.
