Windows 7 and Virtual PC are incompatible with the AMD multi-core processors. There is a "Hot Fix" available but after trying the fixes here, (except for the hot fix) my machine is working weird--I am continually having to re-activate a window that I am working in, even though I uninstalled the fixes.
MS says the incompatibility problem will be fixed in SP2.
Any Idea when that will happen?
And what do i do about the reactivating problem?

Why don't you change to VirtualBox instead?

I'm running a lot of Virtual Machines on my Windows7 / AMD FX8150 computer without any bigger problems ...

Windows 3.11
Windows 98
Windows 8
ChromeOS
Haiku
Linux Mint
Linux OpenSuse
Linux Fedora
Pearl Linux
DSL
EasyPeasy
Nimble
ReactOS
Slacko
Slax
Ubuntu
Xubuntu
CentOS
Ubuntu Studio
LininoXOS

... Chrome OS and Android added - although Android isn't fun running on a virtual machine.
