Will Durant - Story of Civilization

I've got an old (1939) copy of his The Life of Greece. It was a bit dry, but certain parts were quite interesting (the early Minoan civilization, for instance). My Greek history is a little sorry, so I can't say how much has been discovered to invalidate his findings.

I can't speak for the book you're asking about, but I did find him to be a good historian.
