Well, as you can see, this is the UI bug I'm talking about. I'm normally someone who tries to fix things myself but this bug has me absolutely stumped, appearing after I attempted to do a system restore (and said restore failed). Itunes runs fine otherwise, and if I go to the movie, TV show, and podcast section it looks normal. But on just my music tab it shows up like this. and I can't change the mode of that selection area (like it shows as 2D panels and a 3D stack that you can toggle between) because the screen itself blocks the buttons.

I was curious if anybody might have an idea of what might be causing this, if I mucked up with a preference option, or maybe of the Itunes' registry entries got screwy during the failed system restore.

So far I've tried a reinstall of the application, and the latest update with no luck, leaving me thinking it's a weird registry glitch... anyway wasn't sure what to look up on google concerning the problem.

If it helps any these are my specs:

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66 GHz
8 GB DDR2 RAM
512 MB GeForce 8600 GT (NVidia)

I don't use Itunes myself, but most players have different 'sizes'.

IE: Buttons only, Small Window, Large Window and Full Screen.

You say the buttons are covered, but you should be able to find out what the hotkeys are in help, then switch between the different sizes and see if that straightens it out.

Failing that, does Itunes have a skin option? If so, grab a random skin, install it, then uninstall it.

And that would be my ideas, I'd suggest reinstalling as the next step but you've already tried that.

As for the Google terms, I'd try 'itunes display corruption' or 'itunes wrong colors' or something similar.

D.

Didn't fix the problem but certainly a workable solution for now :)
It seems the bug is only on the cover flow display. The other settings display fine so I'll use those for now until I find something on Apple's website. Thank ya much for the workaround

After looking into it yet again I finally figured out how to fix it. Turns out it was the itunes library file that was messed up. just deleted it and reimported my music and it's back to normal. I've seen a number of threads on this and will post a graphical tutorial of how to fix it today :]

Just in case anybody else is looking for this sort of solution...

I don't think it's a problem with iTunes. I think it has to do with listening to Evanescence. It's so bad iTunes is rebelling.

Imagine the errors if you were listening to Justin Beiber.

And Lady GagMe. Though I really love four or so Evanescence tunes.

Dosen't explain why I love ten or so Dragonforce songs. Meds may help... I'll work on it.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Some of the Japanese anime music also makes I-tunes hate me. I can understand Itunes rebelling for that torture :P
