Not many people (other then Democrats) discuss this, but why in the name of God is Osama Bin Laden still alive...and not dead or captured?

The capture/death of this man should have been the #1 priority of this nation. Contrary to Bush's theories, killing/capturing him would be a major victor against those who hit us on 9-11.

Instead, the focus is Afghanistan and Iraq....while Bin Laden continues to breath fresh air and thumb his nose at the USA on the anniversary of 9-11.

What a disgrace.

Because he's useful to remind people to the "Terror-Threat"...
Or complete incompetence...

My theory is the chasing two rabbits theory. Because we commited too many resources and focus on Iraq, we didn't commit enough to finding bin Laden.

Chances are that we would not catch Osama even if we did not go into Iraq. We have a history of not catching individuals like Osama. Poncho Via comes to mind as a great example.

Well, the fact is that all the resources that could be used to capture/kill Osama are in Iraq. The fact is that capturing/killing Osama is not one of Bush's main priorities in the "War on Terror".

So much for "dead or alive".

Maybe we should nuke Afghanistan and Pakistan to be sure he's dead. Why not India and Syria as well...just to be on the safe side. Who cares as long as we get bin laden.

Is there any evidence that someone actually tries to get him?
I'm sure it is not this guy:

But why not focusing on Osama in the first place - if they really
think that Osama was involved. Why making connections to Iraq
and lying to the American citizens?

If Osama was a threat on 9/11 - he still is a threat, isn't he?

Because of bill clinton and the aclu or soemthing. the aclu said clinton couldn't ahve the cia cill osama bin laden when they had him trapped because it was violating his civil rights, so they let him go.

Last time I had a vision like that it was only really bad stuff masquerading as LSD.

Has been. No idea of current status.

Several times if I remember his Wife-Status correctly...

In 1974, at the age of 17, bin Laden married his first wife, his first cousin from Syria, Najwa Ghanem, his mother's brother's daughter.

Bin Laden has fathered anywhere from 12 to 24 children.[24] His wife, Najwa, reportedly had 11 children by bin Laden, including Abdallah (born c. 1976), Omar, Saad and Muhammad. Muhammad bin Laden (born c. 1983) married the daughter of the late alleged al-Qaeda military chief Mohammed Atef in January 2001, at Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Eric Rudolph wasn't found for over five years. That was in the US. His support network and finances are nothing compared to Ossama's.

But why not focusing on Osama in the first place - if they really
think that Osama was involved.
Because they used him as an excuse to pursue what they regarded at unfinished business. And they thought they would not need all those resources to catch Osama.
Why making connections to Iraq
and lying to the American citizens?
A matter of convenience.

If Osama was a threat on 9/11 - he still is a threat, isn't he?
Not to the extent that he once was. Unless you think his organization or inspiration would die with him. He has archived a hero status among his followers and supporters that will out live him. His organization is the threat.

Right; drop everything. Kill OBL and the world will be back to normal. Born yesterday were you?
