Why do people laught at Creationists.

Your thread title threw me there. I thought you were going with some New Year's resolution or something to be kind to Creationists this year. ;)

Yes, Hovind especially is quite hilarious. Ken Ham is pretty funny too.

I just finished all 11 parts. This guy is good. I especially like his refutation of the probability arguments.
 
I know I can never look at Duane Gish without laughing hysterically, but that may be due to whatever it is that's evolved on top of his head.
 
That's great. During all the videos, I was invisioning Dr. Adequate giving the lecture. Actually, I was visualizing Snape give the lecture. But you get the idea.
 
Had an arguement with a Creationist once who tried to tell me Noah's Ark had been recovered on the flanks of a mountain in Turkey, (I can't remember which one) at an altitude of 9000 ft. He swore parts of the Ark had been verified and were touring the world as proof of Genesis.

9000 ft. That's where it came to rest after the Flood. Really.
 
That Noah's ark claim has been thoroughly debunked. From the air, there was a rock formation that looked like the hull of a ship. However, it turned out to be just a natural formation.

The side of me that would like to make some sort of breakthrough with Creationists would object to this sentiment, but the side of me that's been dealing with them for the last 10 years knows that's not likely to happen and agrees with you.

Those that will at least consider the validity of their position deserve a velvet hammer, those whose mind will not be changed deserve little more than acerb and mockery.

How is that possible? Isn't one of the creationists main arguments that if something appears to be designed, there must be a designer? It's just not possible for a natural formation to appear to be an ark.
 
That's a creationist argument. Creationist arguments don't count when the truth of a matter is to be determined.
