Why do communists often like affirmative action?

From what I know of communism, it is not a principal of communism to reduce poverty among an ethnic group or race by increasing employment among it and increasing unemployment among another ethnic group or race. I thought communists wanted everyone to be employed.

Could you say that in English please?

I hesitate to ask , JAR but your sig -

I'm a white man in the U.S. who doesn't consider himself an American.

What do you consider yourself, just out of interest?

Graham

OK, JAR, let's get some terms out of the way first.

What do you think is:

1) A communist, especially these days
2) Affirmative action - an American term if ever there was one
3) Reasons why you feel (1) actually even knows (2)
4) Reasons why you feel (1) likes (2).

Then we can make some headway.

It's a triple!!

A thread that not only contains the words "communists" and "affirmative action" in the title, but is authored by JAR! If only he had included "bed-wetting" he could have had the home run.

This sort of thread supports the position that we should be able to give negative stars.;)

Fortunately that is not the objective of Affirmative Action either.

JAR:

Perhaps it has something to do with those Native American Indians that you do not consider to be Americans.

Yes, but in that thread he goes into great detail explaining that the English are Americans, but at the same time Anglo-Saxon or at least Anglo and therefore German or at the very least Germanic. Or something like that.

Quite simply, socialists (same thing as communists) wish to punish anyone who wants to work beyond and achieve more than the bare minimum to survive. A.A. programs reward masses of people for doing nothing at the expense of those who worked harder, longer, invested better in themselves, sacrificed more of their lives, and held better ethics all-around. (Those people do in fact excel ahead of communist union folk, as they deserve to.)

JAR's question brings up this one:
Why do conservatives constantly label liberals as communists?
Doesn't that allow liberals to call conservatives fascists?
It's the kind of "either yer wit' me or agin' me" sort of thinking that has polarized the political system in the US, and has allowed us to be stuck with the choice of Bush or Gore last election.

From each according to their ability. To each according to their need.

There, that wasn't so hard to understand, was it? It's not like Communists have a Manifesto or anything...
