This was the first year I intended to attend TAM. Unfortunately I couldn't because an opportunity to work Comic-Con came up that turned out to be worth quite a bit of money, and this looks like it will be an on-going gig.
That's just me.
More generally, do they consider scheduling conflicts with other events which have a large intersection of potential attendees?
I have mixed feelings about the overlap with Freedom Fest. It would be nice to combine travel expenses, but then the events would still probably overlap, although that could be minimized by having one run early in the day and the other one later, or at least, by not putting the star speakers on the same days.
I'd love to attend both.
