Didn't you know? He's been replaced with a Disney animatronic for years.

Ole Fidel has more lives than a cat. I heard that he is listed in Genis as the modern leader with the most failed assassination attempts against him. I know that the CIA tried and tried and then tried some more, with no success. He may live past 100, just to spite us!

I suggest you amend this poll to reflect the death of his brain in particular, which will eventually be transferred into a CommieBot 5000 so he may rule supreme over mortals for millenia.

As to the body, I'd give him another 2 years.

He's just a hologram controlled by BushitlerCheneyHalliburton anyway.

You know, the real question is probably, how long before someone puts a couple of caps in his brother's sorry @$$? I can't imagine that he'd have Fidel's staying power.

He supposedly doesn't have the brains or charisma of his brother either.

I bet within 3 years of Fidel pushing up daisies we'll be allowed to smoke cigars on their beaches.

During the second year of Bush's first term....Jeb, that is...

Seriously, and probably for a thread when Fidel does finally bow out, what does happen then? Will Raul keep it together? Will there be anarchy? Do the Cuban Bourbons return and try to re-establish the old patriarchy, with them as the 'democratic' leaders?

Ol'Fidel was at predictable--in an unpredictable sort of way..

Will be most interesting to see--in a couple more presidental terms...

I have heard from people involved in international business that there are billions of dollars in accounts in Mexico just waiting to be invested in Cuba when Fidel is under ground. Only heard, though - I have no documentation to back it up.

Ah, you mean the Dictator's Retirement Plan. I'm surprised that Fidel never had his ticket punched.
