What would you ask a psychic about spirits and the afterlife

Let's just suppose, for the sake of argument, that spirits are real and that they are contactable via psychics.

What would you ask?

I'm curious as to what sort of burning questions people might have. Be it questions pertaining to life in the here-and-now, reassurance from a deceased loved one, or descriptions and information on what the "other side" is really like.

I'd love to pose some difficult questions to a "psychic" if I ever to go to a show or a reading (from a skeptical viewpoint). I'd definitely want to ask something deeper than "Is my cat okay?" :p

The sum of the change in my pockets.

My phone number and address.

The name of the book I was reading when the person died.

The address of the house where the person lived.

The spirit's full name, date of birth, and social security number or driver's license number.

The number of unopened tubes of toothpaste under my bathroom sink.

The complete text of my first poem.

Etc.

In other words, before asking any questions to which I don't know the answer, I'd ask questions to establish the validity and veracity of the spirit (AKA medium poseur). Having failed to gain such, I wouldn't bother asking any more questions.

Supposing, arguendo, that the medium could convince me a real spirit was answering questions -- with, perhaps, the caveat that being a spirit gives one no more claim to accuracy than a living human -- I might be curious about the doings of my friends or relatives, or whether lust persists absent genitalia, or what spirits do on long rainy afternoons.

I would first ask the psychic if information about the future makes no change at all or if it, on the other hand, alters the future in a kind of Paradox.

If the answer is "No, it doesn't change it" I would ask the Psychic if I'm gonna do a weird dance within the 15 seconds.

If the answer is "No, you won't", after the 15 seconds have passed, I will do the dance.

If the answer is "Yes, you will" I will ask for a description of what the dance will be like. If I'm told that there is no way to know, I will consequently not do the dance after 15 seconds have passed.

On the other hand, if I'm given a description of what the dance will be like, I will attempt to dance in a way that has nothing to do with the description given.

If there is still a way out of this death trap I have constructed, I will have known that I got my money's worth in witnessing a real Psychic.

I'd ask them why the spirits of those who have passed can't just say their names.

Q: is there anything you guys would know on the other side that we don't already know on this side anyway?

You may not make much progress with this, as you'd be unable to distinguish between what they obtain legitimately from the other side versus what they just plain make up to defraud a customer.

eg: "Yes, your cat is fine." - how would you know if this was true?

I would ask the Spirits " Why can't Psychics just accept to take the Million Dollar challenge"?

Often mediums state "They're stood next to you now." In a theatre setting id hold something in my hand, unseen to medium and ask them to name the object!

Rob Tomkins I like your deathtrap, hurts my brain but I like it. ;)

Okay, if we're talking about contacting the dead, here's my question:

To my late brother, "Which submarine were you a passenger on?"

Such a simple thing to trip up a medium, to show what a fraud they all are.

I'd ask my grand-grandfather what was specification of anti-tank rifle he invented in the first years of 2.WW and how much it was used.

In fact this could be very good test of psychics...(there are not many people even knowing that such thing existed and who did it.)

I'd ask them what my grandmothers maiden names were, where and when they died and my mother and wifes maiden names.
That would do for a start
