I would expect to see a huge push to repeal Obamacare, including the good parts, like preventing insurance companies from denying people based on pre-existing conditions. Fun fact: this directly affects me, I've tried over and over and over again this year to buy private insurance, and I'm uninsurable due to my pre-existing condition.
I have absolutely no confidence that a Romney presidency would serve any tangible benefit to the LGBT community. We saw Obama push the DADT repeal, light a fire under DOMA, fight for the rights of LGBT immigrants and refugees, appoint LGBT people to important positions like judgeships, explictly extending Obamacare benefits to same-gender partners, etc. Our Republicans in Congress have done exactly NOTHING but repeated harm LGBT people, demonize, and denigrate them. I strongly believe a Romney presidency is going to halt or roll back advances for LGBT people. Another fun fact: I'm directly affected, as are many straight allies who support LGBT rights.
I expect a Romney presidency to resist raising taxes due to his political ideology, even against the recommendations of the non-partisan CBO. I think we'll see an economic policy which re-invents trickle-down economics, providing no tangible benefits to the middle-, lower-, and under-classes. Somewhere between the "why won't Obama create more jobs!" and "government never creates jobs!" rhetoric, I don't think Romney's policies are going to address unemployment in the country.
I expect a Romney presidency to make strong arguments against illegal immigration which, to the trained ear, sound no different from arguments against legal immigration.
I don't expect a Romney presidency to do squat about excess energy consumption or industries which contribute to climate change.
