I've just been sent this by my very "woo" colleague:

Indeed, we have won!” Tomorrow is August 31, 2006! Tomorrow is “Checkmate” for the Darkside!

1. Major things have happened today in the World Court of International Justice at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands. We are now under Galactic Federation Law!

2. On tomorrow, August 31, 2006, delivery of the Merkel letter to the people shall be done by U.S. Military elements and Militia!

3. The official public announcement of NESARA shall follow Thursday evening August 31, 2006!

4. This announcement shall be repeated by the media all day Friday, September 1, 2006

5. Today, the European media have blown the lid off the Darkside’s secrets by broadcasting in the various media the lies of the Bush/Blair/Israeli Crime Family by telling the Truth of 9/11, the Iraq War, the Afghanistan War, the Israeli-Lebanon War, The Israeli-Palestine War, etc.

6. The U.S. media are under Galactic Federation orders to publish the same Truth in the U.S. on Thursday, August 30, 2006.

7. The U.S. banks are to be closed September 1-6 for a bank holiday for the general public. The three day Labor Day weekend plus the three days allowed by the U. S. Constitution for bank closure gives a total of six days.

8. Due to the shock of the NESARA Announcement and the closure of the banks, we can expect to have some upset and resulting chaos by many people. You would be wise to have food, water, cash, gasoline and other survival needs for your family for at least a week in order to make it through nicely this period of change.

This is the time for Lightworkers to be especially alert and ready to help those around you, who may need your assistance. You need to calm their fears and give them assurance that all will be o.k. Many will be open to Truth and will be making great strides in soul growth and discernment, as the Truth settles into their understanding.

My friends, this is the time to give hope and to show compassion. This is the time to walk without fear under the protection of the Light, and be of great service to your fellowman!

This is it! This is “Checkmate!” This is the first great step for the people of Earth Shan into the Golden Age of Peace! Be at peace, and feel the joy of the moment! Aho!

It's not a problem, it could fit here too, but a passing mod may move it. It's just more likely that those interested in the topic will see it there, many of our posters actively avoid the politics fprum. :)

Sorry to throw a wrench into the end of the world, but US banks will be open tomorrow Sept 1st and Tuesday the 5th.

1 Friday open
2 Saturday closed
3 Sunday closed
4 Monday closed
5 Tuesday open
6 Wednesday Lo and verily, open yet again.

I imagine the US media could be under orders of the Galactic Federation but I think the Pulitzer would go to the journalist who breaks the story that there actually is a Galactic Federation.

I mean, there are a billion starts in our galaxy. What's the chance that all those races would unite under one federation?

I immediately discount any conspiracy theory that does not involve Romulans or, under very specific circumstances, a coalition of Go'auld led by Ba'al.

A look at the executive summary page shows some symptoms of woo. References to gold and silver as "constitutional currency" and froth about the Federal Reserve being "privately owned" are reminiscent of old-school right-wing crackpottery. Edward Flaherty's Debunking Federal Reserve conspiracy theories page is worth checking out.

So it seems like we have a somewhat cracked economic hobbyhorse which became the basis for someone else's scam (nesara.org disavows "Dove" quite specifically and is now undergoing a third fermentation into a theme that anywoo can have fun with. There's a NESARA thread on GLP that's up to 241 pages so far.

Now that's entertainment value.
 
Well, Aug. 30 came and went, and I didn't see anything about this in the US media... I even gave them the benefit of the doubt, being that Aug. 30 was actually Wednesday, but I let Thursday go by anyway... guess I better return all that furniture I bought (with payments starting after the alien takeover)

Ba'al is merely a puppet for Anubis who has secretly returned after escaping from battle with Oma Desala using the old "What's that behind you?!" trick.
 
I think I'm a Lightworker. I have this thing where I blow lightbulbs in every house I'm ever in. I just wish it were more predictable, the frequency. Because then I could go for The Challenge. Also, tape decks. And clocks in cars. -sigh-

Who cares about a puny Earth Pulitzer? Keeping it under wraps could net you a pundit position on Fox News Intergalactic!
