Dammit Norway, stop being cooler than my country. I mean it!

I mean... Oh yeah? They have high taxes becuase they are Godless liberals, which is why they have to make more money and why their GDP is higher.

Let me the first to say....

... I love living in Norway!!!!

:D

To be fair, I read about that big survey (it was over a year back now) that the comic most likely refers to, and it was more like about 65% of Norwegians counted themselves as atheists or agnostics.

Plus, Iceland just recently stole our spot as the number one place on earth to live (according to that chart thingie used by UN). The bastards!

And to add insult to injury, we don't have lions and tigers either... :(

Okay let me get this straight 70% of 83% of 100% of Norwegians are....ummm errr..... nup thought I had it there for a momment :p

Here, let me explain. 83% of the population are members of the state church, while 70% of the population are atheists. In other words, 153% of the population. Factor in other non-Christian religions and Christian groups not affiliated with the state church, and the population of Norway is around 170% of itself.

Ahhh right - thank you for clearing that up..... I think ;)

Lots of illegal immigrants, I say!:D

A bit more clarifying: If you're not registered at any other religious community, you'll be registered at the state church as default. You'll have to actively unjoin it. And even then, there's a fair chance you'll secretly be rejoined without ever knowing it (unless you check).

Yeah, religion really keeps a man honest...

How difficult is it for Americans to emigrate there?

You got an edumacation in something, probably not that hard. Unemployment is at an all-time low, and more and more of the bigger companies would like people well versed in English (some companies even use English as their internal business language, although admittedly not that well).

Hm, I enjoy cold weather and I like pickled herring. Unfortunately my girlfriend likes neither, so I probably couldn't convince her to move with me.
