If you did 9-plates on either side for a leg-press... how much weight would you be leg-pressing :p

Do all the leg press machines out there have the same weight increments on their plates?

The term "plate" in the gyms I used to go to referred to the 45 pounders. So 18 plates (9 plates per side on a leg press machine) would be 810 lbs.

Of course, the machine itself has some weight also, but the guys usually wouldn't take that into account.

Leg pressing 810 pounds? That sounds high. I've done 520 myself.

Yes, it's a lot. But it's not out of the realm of dedicated bodybuilders/powerlifters, and steriod freaks.
