This is the strangest article I've ever seen on weather.com.

It starts off with the title:

Why Climatology Doesn't Have Much of a Say in Florence's Unusual Track

The article never even addresses that, as far as I can tell. And kind of out of the blue, they throw this line in:

This mighty ridge of high pressure is set to debunk climatology.

What in the world? :confused:
 
The channel was started by a GW denier. Perhaps there are remnants of the nuttery.
 
Aside from the teaser language, though, it sounds mostly as if the article is saying that traditional climatology, using past history to predict the future, no longer works. And that seems to be the case, as one would expect with anthropogenic climate change I would think. I suspect that the article was either clumsily written, or purposely designed to stir things up.
