Want Fries With That?

DeKalb, by the way, is the southwest portion of Atlanta. It has a fair cross-section, but it's still a very nice place - not the rural south or the "hood" in any particular way. I went to law school there.

NB4 UKians and Europeans wake up. Just stay away from this thread. We know how this is going to go down:

UKian: "OMG, USA so bad, gun violence. Unthinkable in 'European' (read: white) country. USA Culture so bad."

USian: "This is concentrated in black communities. Clearly you have a problem with black communities."

UKian: "OMG USA racist"

Avoid all fast food joints because it looks like these people are shooting the hell out of each other.

Mumbles is quick to call out the racial connotations of the word "thug." The Europeans posters have another name to describe the same people -- "American."

"Robinson, 24, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault."

being from the uk, I get culture shock when I see things like this.
Being from the USA, I get culture shock when I see that shooters are not charged with attempted murder. Aggravated assault? Yes, assaulted by a bullet.

Oh and that fellow you are ordering chicken wings from at the restaurant... he's got a gun in his pocket. WTF!

Guess it’s been a while since law school. DeKalb County, Ga. is mostly directly east of Atlanta (a portion of Atlanta city limits is in DeKalb). I worked in DeKalb 32 years. Our chief of police told me in 2000 that 50% of all the crimes in DeKalb occurred within a 5 mile radius of my work station. I retired in 2006 and have not been back so maybe someone who has current knowledge of the area can update me. Of course, the Emory University area is still stylish. Bet you ate a lot of Athens pizza.

No warning first? That would never fly in a country that had "unfair dismissal" laws. :D

BTW I doubt that this will be enough to stop a lawsuit against the restaurant.

Hey, I didn't order bullets with this. What kind of operation are you running here? I demand to see your manager at once!
