This is a recommendation to everyone in this Forum:
If you have the chance to see "Walking With Dinosaurs" -- the live show, whether they call it "the Arena Show" or "the Live Experience" -- go see it!!!
I saw the first engagement in the US in Tacoma last year, and got sooper secret advance notice that it will be back in this state later this year (I've already bought my tickets, which aren't on sale to the general public yet).
This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Short of Jurassic Park ever becoming a reality, this is the closest you'll ever get to living, breathing dinosaurs. It's not a museum display, it's a show where life-sized (and yes, that's very big, my friends)walk around the arena floor; fight, challenge each other for status in the herd; hunt prey; browse; and otherwise act like live creatures. They interact with the scenery, each other, and the audience. It's jaw-droppingly realistic. There is wonderful music, and a "paleontologist" narrator who provides explanations now and then. For a lot of the time, though, you get to just watch, listen, and marvel.
Anyone else who has seen this, chime on in. Aussies, I know it played down there first; there's also a UK tour going on right now.
To get an idea, check out the videos here:

Recession notwithstanding, you'll be very glad you did this.
So help me IPU, Miss Kitt
PS No, I have no financial or other tie to these folks. It's just damned amazing and wonderful. A dream come true for this dino-crazy kid grown up enough to drive across the Pass to see a show.
