Hello everyone,
As everyone knows we can't have a TAM without help. Each year we have a fantastic group of volunteers who help assemble the packets, and staff the registration booth and merchandise tables. If you've attended a TAM you've seen them, probably one handed you your registration packet or helped you at the merchandise table. You also heard Randi, Phil, or Hal ask them to stand so they could thank them. They are the heroes of TAM.

Last year there were so many of us that no one has to help for more than about 3 hours. No one has ever missed any part of TAM. When the speakers begin, you will be seated in the audience. You will get a “Volunteer” t-shirt for your help, and all volunteers are invited to a free volunteer-only lunch on Wednesday.

I work the schedule around your plans. Some people only want to assemble packets, others can't work at the end of each day because they have plans. I've learned to be flexible.

If you are interested in volunteering at TAM8, or just want to learn more before you decide, please contact me via PM or email me at scott at randi period org.

Selling stuff at the table was really fun last time. This year I'll be getting into town early enough to help with the assembly.

Just keep in mind that Scott requires all volunteers to stay sober the entire week, submit to random drug tests (not the multiple choice kind), participate in 6:00am calisthenics and sign a purity pledge.

In that case, count me in!

...but he also has absolutely no means for punishing those who break the rules!

I'm interested! I like assembling packets. :)
And, I can help paperskater assemble some packets. :)
Stop flirting! Assemble those packets! :D

as long as I don't miss any actual parts of TAM.
That is never a problem. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday we only have volunteers scheduled before TAM starts and after it ends, during the breaks, and two shifts to each covering half of lunch. The volunteers are paying to attend, so there's no way I could or would ask someone to miss anything.

Scott, right now I don't even know if I can attend but if I can I'd love to volunteer. As soon as I know I'll send you a PM!!

A couple of years ago I handed out t-shirts at registration and got to meet lots of great people - great experience!
