I'm looking to set up some VoIP stuff, and had high hopes for something like this, since it allows you to use your existing phone to make and receive calls. However, it appears that you need to physically connect your phone line to it. This isn't very convenient, since my phone socket is in a different room and my phone is screwed to the wall next to it. My PC connects to broadband wirelessly.
What I'd is something that my cordless phone can connect to so that I can use it to make and receive calls, but which either doesn't require the phone line to be physically connected to it, or which requires the phone to be connected but doesn't require the PC to remain connected after setup.
Anyone able to make any equipment suggestions? Is this even possible?
