My first full day home and I'm sitting here posting on the forums instead of unpacking. I wanted to create a thread where I can just spout out all of the thoughts that have been going through my head during TAM and the things I'm still thinking about. Since I can't seem to organize my thoughts very well yet, I'll just put them all here. I've met so many wonderful people this past week. I'm bound to forget other things as well, so I'll probably be adding to this thread as things come back into my memory.

To all the forumites that I only met once in passing, I'm very glad that I got to meet you and I hope that we get to see each other next year for more conversation. I wish I could list all of you, but unfortunately, my faulty memory will surely leave out people that I don't want to leave out.

To all the attendees from Colorado... YEAHH!! I heard someone say that we were the largest state contingent after California, which is awesome! Reed, I still owe you a drink for picking up Justin and me on the way to the airport! Maybe at the next Drinking Skeptically in Denver...

Hokulele is so spirited and full of energy! I'm so glad that I got to bowl next to her at the alley. I wish you could have stayed for the rest of TAM! On that note, Hokulele's mom sought me out after the talent show and she was wonderful and very nice!

Hutch, thank you for organizing the bowling trip (Hokulele, too!). It was a LOT of fun and I hope we can do it next year. We made $500 to donate to the JREF, if I recall correctly!

Desktop Icon and Iconic Wife, thank you for the delicious wrinkled-ironing-board remedy. ;)

Kochanski, thank you for making all those avatar badges for everyone! Also, those mobius scarves were RAD.

CPP, it was a lot of fun being a part of Hell's Bells! Sorry that I messed up a bit!

kittynh, thank you for inviting me to be part of your act! You were fabulous and I was definitely snickering under the table. I had soooo much fun! I can't thank you enough!

Jeff Wagg, I very much enjoyed our conversation. Thank you for being incredibly awesome and working your ass off to help make all of this happen. You are an admirable member of this community and I feel honored to have met you!

Nobby, what more can I say about your extraordinary strength of character and beautiful personality? Others have been much more eloquent in putting those feelings down in words, so I'll only say that I wish I could have spent more time talking with you. You were always being whisked away with someone else! I hope I can see you next year!

Wowbagger, you're awesome. I think we get along very well and I'm glad there's someone else there at TAM that doesn't drink! I need to send you those balloon hat photos I took.

Okay, that's it for now because I'm getting sad and I miss you guys. Plus, I think I should take a little nap to catch up on my sleep time that I missed out on at TAM.

Please feel free to add your TAM Brain Droppings, if I may borrow a phrase I overheard at TAM6.

You forgot to mention me. :cry1

Heyyy, I wasn't done yet, I said I'd come back and add more a little later. However, since I'm here...

Scrut was quite friendly and surprisingly not at all how I expected him to be. Underneath that scaly exterior lies a very good-natured guy, until further data proves otherwise. :)

(Oops, did I let out the secret?)

What, the secret that Scrut bribes cute girls to lie about him? That's well known!

Paperskater, no one messed up! And, really, it is hard to follow a floppy rubber chicken being waved in your general direction! Thank YOU for tolerating the baby bonnets and being a Ding-a-Ling!

There are soooo many people involved in a large 1000+ person convention. Mr. Randi, Phil Plait, Karl & Linda Shallenberger, SkepticScott, Jeff Wagg, Hal Bidlack, etc. etc. I had the great pleasure of bowling with a great bunch of friends and I got to talk more with Hutch this time. I met wonderful people at the Hold Em Tourny although I didn't last more than an hour at the table.

kittynh was my roomie just like last year and although our schedules were a bit different we still had a chance to talk and catch up.

I tried to have lunch at a different table full of people each day to meet new people and that was a great experience too.

THANK YOU for making my TAM experience so wonderful - and amazing!

I had fun on your bowling team, PS. I hope to see you again next year!

It was nice meeting you, even though we only talked for a minute or two. It is great to hear that you had so much fun.

Marquis, you are super cool. Thanks for teaching me the proper etiquette on how to buy a drink at a bar. It was weird, but there's a first time for everything, right? I hope it was tasty. :)

Kate, you are cooler than Marquis. I'm so happy that I got to meet you and way impressed that you were socializing in Vegas so soon after your operation!

Eos, you are adorable! Seriously, that haircut is WAY cute on you! When you stood up to ask that question on Friday(?), I was like, "HEY, I know her!!"

arthwollipot, I really really hope that you can make it back sometime. You are absolutely wonderful and I couldn't wait to meet you this year.

Tobias... uhhhhh, no comment. ;)

What about me? You forgot me again! :cry1

I'm glad I got to hang out with you. You're every bit as awesome as you appear in writing on the forum.
And I'm sorry I didn't notice you last year. Or maybe I did but you ran away thinking all us forum people were being way too social or something.

And you don't have to drink alcohol to hang out with us at the bar. It's Vegas, you need to drink something to keep hydrated anyway ...

Love the t-shirt design!

You should sell these as fundraisers for the TAM 8 scholarship fund.

I think Georgia gave Colorado a run for their money this year. But I was too tired and hungover on Sunday to coordinate a Georgia Skeptics photo so now we'll never know :(

Does anyone know who put that comment on the white board at TAM? I have to admit, it tickled the crap out of me to see it there!
