Jonathon “The Impaler” Sharkey, a self-proclaimed vampire, has announced he will be running for the governor’s office in Minnesota. He definitely has some unique political views.

Sharkey also pledged to execute convicted murders and child molesters personally by impaling them on a wooden pole outside the state capitol.

This might get him a few votes, but…

Sharkey said he worships Lucifer and, while he says he has nothing against Christians, he calls the "Christian God the Father'' his "mortal enemy.''

This statement is probably considered a bad move in most political playbooks in the US.

I’ll invoke my psychic powers and predict he won’t win this election. Don’t worry however, looks like he has also signed up to run in the 2008 presidential election.

I believe the Jesse the body ventura hating is due to the simple fact you're a pencil neck geek who's jealous of his physique and relate more to the would be vampire's physique.

Actually, I think his chances would be reduced BECAUSE people are tired of blood-sucking politicians! I'll have to admit, his take on reducing the separation of church and state is FAR more interesting than any we've heard so far!

And I think that your admiration of Jesse Ventura's physique says a lot about you that your mother doesn't know.

Actually, I'd like to see Conan the Republican, Jesse Ventura, Ralph Nader, Hilary Clinton and the Vampire duke it out in 2008.
 
I would vote for a vampire, but not a "vampyre". Just because you drink the blood of the living and stalk the unhallowed night as a creature of darkness does not exempt you from standard spelling!
