Two suns?

Hi I haven't posted here for a long time. There's a lot of videos on youtube showing two suns. People think it's a planet called Niburu and apparently it's just come in to our solar system. If it just came in to our solar system does it hide when I look out my window? I haven't seen another planet, but just wondering if anyone has any proof this second "sun" or planet exists.

There's supposed to be a CT around it, but I haven't read about it yet.

Bunk. This is the old Planet X rebranded. See:

Having just looked up Nibiru on Wikipedia, I would seriously question the sanity of anyone who considered taking this stuff seriously. Never mind the giggle test, this doesn't even pass the just-walk-away-slowly-from-the-barking-mad-nutter test.

It's been around a while so back when it first surfaced while there was a lack of evidence for it there wasn't the same level of obvious dissproof. Its the failure of the thing to arrive on time that cased the requirment for orbital gymnastics.

This was a big deal to Zecharia Sitchin, who if you haven't heard of him before I think you would probably enjoy hearing about his theories:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zecharia_Sitchin

He is basically a legendary figure with the Coast to Coast AM crowd due to the amount of times he was on the show. But yeah, it's amazing that people can believe something like this when it can so easily be disproved with a telescope. It isn't like aliens or bigfoot or something where you can easily come up with explanations for the absence of evidence.

Thanks for that link I saw this "The picture of Nibiru posted on YouTube was revealed to in fact be a Hubble image of the expanding gas shell around the star V838 Mon." I knew there had to be a logical reason for it.

Well, as far as I can determine, all of the "Nibiru" photos are bogus.

Ask yourself, how is it that it only appears on awful cell phone cameras, eluding all of the astronomers in the world?

Ask yourself, how is it that it only appears when captured through windows?

Ask yourself, how is it that it only appears when captured through clouds?

Ask yourself, how is it that it only gets published to yoooooootooooob?

Ask yourself, how is it that RA and DEC cannot be provided?

Ask yourself, how is it that you cannot see it with the naked eye?

Ask yourself, how is it that the hoaxers commonly use a trashy metal sound track? (that always puzzles me)

Nibiru is crap. A second sun is extra crappy crap.

The smallest known star is OGLE-TR-122b and is only slightly larger than our closest neighboring star Proxima Centauri.

Think about that. Proxima Centauri is 4.2 light years away and clearly visible to the naked eye. Imagine what the sky would look like if you moved an object about the same size 4 times closer (say into the Oort cloud). I'd say OGLE-TR-122b would be pretty friggin' obvious, don't you?

Then there's these guys who think there might be a brown dwarf on the edge of our solar system:

http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/02/1...hunt-massive-hidden-object-in-space/?iref=NS1

[ETA: Maybe this is a better link: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/s...arch-begins-for-giant-new-planet-2213119.html ]

Granted, it's not pure woo (as the Planet X/Nibiru/2012 Mayan doomsday stuff is), but I find it extremely hard to believe such a massive planet wouldn't have been detectable by its gravitational pull on other planets.

I suspect it is from ignorance of the sheer scale of the universe, Many moon landing hoaxers believe that the stars will look different from the moon.

This used to be one of Nancy Lieder's big things over at Godlike Productions while I was still there. One of her "followers" insisted that you could see Nibiru hiding behind our sun by looking at the sun through two welder's helmets.

Apparently the double image that this produced was some sort of proof. :boggled:

Ah, Nancy Lieder.

I still follow her with the fascination of a rubber necker observing a car crash.

Tis good for the lulz.

Maybe it was a reflection of a pimple inside the helmet?

The astronomers must be in on the cover up. Big astro would immediately blackball anyone who spoke out against the orthodox view of the solar system. All the money they've spent over the years on little dioramas of the solar system would go to waste and they have to protect their investment.

As for your other questions though I'm not sure.

Sure, since you're much closer to them.

Yup, when I get my scope set up out the back yard, I must first call the CIA to check what exactly I am allowed to see... sure I am.
