Ed Trump Finally Called a Liar in Public

Well actually making a "false statement".

"You said that you passed Veterans Choice. It was passed in 2014...it was a false statement, sir."

https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/08/politics/trump-veterans-choice-paula-reid/index.html

Like he has only told it more than 150 times.

Best part, "He then walked away as the song "YMCA" played." :boggled:
It's been carved as a groove in his brain by his sycophant staff. So he is utterly lost when confronted with anything else.

Also,

Since he walks out of press conferences when challenged, what's he planning to do during the debates? Biden won't have a problem calling him out on lies. Is he going to just walk out 20 minutes into a 90 minute debate?

'Debates will have to be postponed due to health concerns, what with the China virus Obama did nothing to prevent.'

I think we'll see Trump in the flesh less and less in the time leading up to the election.

Sadly, the same seems to go for Biden. He seems to have spent most of his time out of the spotlight. I just hope he holds on long enough to win the election. If he turns out to have crippling Alzheimer's or something after that, they can just replace him with Warren or whomever he chooses as VP.

Nobody seems to be commenting on the video that goes with the article. At one point I thought Trump’s brain had gone into an infinite loop with the continual repeating of the bit about veterans who have blindness in both eyes. That man is seriously no longer all there.

I can't stomach listening to the guy, so I just skipped to the part where he was confronted by the nasty woman and flounced out of the room. Listening to it now. Wow. No wonder he and his trumpkins are so desperately projecting about Biden's dementia.

I wonder if he left because he had forgotten he didn't sign the bill, or told himself and others he had done it so many times that he started to believe it himself, and that the reporter brought him back to reality?

I would say poor guy, but then I remember who he is, what callous disregard he has for other people, and what he's doing to the United States.

It's been said so many times by him that I think it slipped by most people (and there's so much other stuff to focus on), but in the Swan interview he once again referred to the "1917 flu". (It was 1918. Not that big an error, but he keeps making it.)

When your opponent is harming himself it is stupid to do anything. Biden is doing the right thing, no one can harm Trump more that Trump.

Or just do what the Republicans have done, and leave him in place.

What I'm expecting is that he'll do one debate, it will go disastrously for him and he'll complain about being treated unfairly and not do any more.

I thought that his debate performances against Hillary were terrible. Political pundits and the electorate seem to have disagreed.

The bar has been set so low for President Trump that unless he actually, visibly soils himself then it will be acclaimed as a superb performance. OTOH anything less than perfection from Biden will be ruled abject failure.

So it's just a matter of packging the Trump self-harms into punchy politcal ads and raising enough $$ to totally overwhelm the Trump campaign's efforts?

That is my hope. I can't really stand Biden, Trump or Pence. I hope that Biden chooses a skilled and honest person then steps down for health reasons after the election.

He's just so damn smart that he knows something about it that the rest of us don't know?

One hopes Biden has learned what American journalists have belatedly figured out. Trump can be defeated by using basic interrogatives.

He hates Nick Fury and wants to make sure he doesn't benefit....

Reporters should have figured that out during the 2016 campaign. As far as I can recall, nobody ever asked him directly "Mr. Trump, in your opinion when did America stop being great?" Anything he said would have been illustrative.

....

You're really off the wall if you put Biden, Trump and Pence into the same box. Biden has been a public servant all his life and understands the basic role and responsibilities of the national government. You can't say that about Trump or even Pence, who as a Congressman and state governor should at least have some perspective about what government is for.
