ThePentaCON DVD will claim that the plane didn't really follow the path it is known to have followed, so it couldn't have hit the light poles that were knocked over, so it must have flown over the Pentagon instead of into it, so all the other physical evidence must have been faked, too, and some witnesses must be lying and others must be mistaken. When it comes to completely idiotic 9/11 theories, it's tough to beat.

A Truther would say that they don't have to provide an alternative explanation, all the need to do is show that the official story is false.

Which is true, as far as it goes. However, if their attempt to show the official story to be false is not airtight (and in this case it's completely lame), and there is no way to put together a plausible alternative, then the lack of an alternative explanation should work against them.

He says 13 people in the video, but he told me that only four people actually said that the plane went north of Citgo, and none of those four actually saw the plane fly over the Pentagon. In fact, no witness anywhere saw the plane fly over the Pentagon.

And I might add that the Doubletree Hotel Footage clearly shows no flyover, and I have yet to see anyone prove that the Doubletree Video was a fake or even begin to suggest such a thing.

I actually asked Lyte Trip about that video and how it shows no flyover. You know what he said? "It's grainy". Of course it's grainy, it's a security video! You can still clearly see stuff in it. Even with the graininess, it would simply be a big blob flying over the building, an incredibly obvious blob.

And anyone who thinks that it takes FIVE YEARS to modify the footage is completely insane. It would take no more than a week.

You have to cope with the fact that not every eyewitness is going to say the same thing and perceive the same thing. People can be adamant about something that is totally wrong; it's just simple statistics. There will be some deviation in what people perceive.

So what interpretation do you believe? You go with the one with the most consistency. It just so happens that 89 people actually saw an object hit the Pentagon. How many people saw a plane fly over the Pentagon? Zero.

Mathematically, the ratio of people who saw an object hit the Pentagon to the number of people who saw it fly over is actually infinity!
