Hmm seems the veil has slipped a little.

Read what Penelsetter and Georgianna have to say in these two threads while still steadfastly sticking up for Wim the Woo.

Will any of the Hpathy brain donors query why people believe in veterinary homeopathy when even they have seen it completely fail?

Certainly those remarks need to be reserved for next time Sarah faints with excitement at the mere mention of Chris Day's name.

There's an interesting split there. On the one hand allopaths are evil and stupid and only in it for the money, but then when they espouse homoeopathy, suddenly they are supremely intelligent and admirable people whose imprimatur absolutely and conclusively validates the method. Except that there's another group who also deride what they call allopath/homeopaths, as traitors to the true faith and just as bad as real allopaths when you get down to it.

And the two groups will happily co-exist and support each other, to the point of joining forces to expel a "troll" who has had the temerity to challenge their practices by quoting Hahnemann....

You know, one of the reasons I can't really be bothered with H'pathy is the sheer nastiness. They are simply unpleasant people to be around. Consider Sarah's latest outburst here - rather than say anything factual concerning any interactions between homoeopathy and aromatherapy, she chose to attack my friend who quite reasonably pointed out that GPs have no way to find out whether any random snake-oil might interfere with a patient's medication. Then expanded her bile to encompass your training and my training.

If she really wants us to start harbouring even a little bit of doubt about her being Naturalhealth, she really ought to stay away from classic NH viciousness.

By the way, I'm off to a party for the 50th anniversary of my College becoming part of the university and awarding pukka degrees. How many more years till your upstart redbrick establishment has been handing out its Coghill-debased diplomas for that long, anyway? Do you expect to live that long?

(Should I take this to flame wars?)

Rolfe.

I agree with Rolfe on the nastiness. Illogical and stupid I can cope with, but some of them are hypocritical, dishonest and actually very obnoxious.

If there was truly any philanthropy in what they were up to they would surely be much more open to debate, especially when rationally presented?

I'm not sure whether I admire MRC_Hans for his persistence, or whether I feel sorry for him.
