The TAM4 plague!

I feel fine but my voice is still wonky. I am feeling a touch of runny nose, but nothing that I didn't have a few days before leaving.

Yeah, I've got a tickle of sorts in my throat, I think I may be coming down with something.

Goddamned diseased skeptics

ETA: I think that the American beer compromised my immune system. Guinness in a bottle, indeed!

I had a minor sore throat and runny nose but nothing too bad. Starting to go away already.

and so we have identified the carrier.:p

Ah, but it vanished the day before I left. I posit that the only reason I felt like I was sick Saturday morning was from my drinking Friday night.

Now, it is possible that the infection was mostly beaten by the time I came to Vegas and it's encountering other immune systems might have given it fresh victims to jump to and then reinfect me but...

I haven't felt anything until about an hour ago.

I'm sure designed-mosquito-boy cursed us or something. That or I blame Lisa.

I was paranoid would end up catching something and have a sore throat during my paper presentation.

On the flight to Vegas, a little girl sitting behind me coughed a few times, and I changed my seat.

It seemed like everywhere I sat during TAM talks, someone next to me was hacking like a refugee from a TB ward...

I ended up availing myself of a lot of those hand-sanitizer things which were dotted around the place.

Yo, dude, what was with those?

Vegas...the SARS capital of the States?

Although, given some of the slot jockeys, I don't blame them. Ugh.

I started to feel a little bit under the weather when I got home, but I took some 10X Oscillococcinum tincture and I'm fine now.

I joke! I joke! I kid! I kid!
It was only 5X.

I think its for people who are paranoid about how germy the controls of the slot machines are. Which might actualy be legitimate.

I seem to be fine, but at least one TAM member I encountered at a Stardust store was saying he was not feeling good at all.

I was sick the week before TAM, but was 100% fine 5 FULL DAYS before I showed up in Vegas, so I'm not the trojan horse. Or would that be hoarse?

I got a sore throat that is still going away. dunno what caused it, but I'm guessing it was partially the dry air. I got lotsa nosebleeds too, and I know that was the dry air.

Speaking as someone who frequently gets sick in Vegas (and this time was no exception) I can appreciate the spirit behind those goo dispensers, even though I'm skeptical they do any good.

I developed a strange cough while in Vegas and it seems to be trying to mutate into a cold. But unfortunately I'm not miserable enough to miss any work.

It was terribly dry there, sucked the moisture right out of my skin. But, other than still getting some very bad asthma symptoms if I am 5 minutes late in taking my medicines because of being infused with smoke for 5 days, I'm fine..........and escaping disease when others catch stuff NEVER happens with me.

I must have been really happy there, and my immune system, unused to that, responded by working for a change.

I humbly submit, that if you are kind of lacking in good vibes all year long, a TAM can boost your immune system! There's a selling point!

I'd also like to publicly thank my own back which, after making me miserable Thursday and Friday, suddenly bucked up and was terrific enough for me to climb around all over Red Rocks Canyon in a way I haven't been able to for 7 months. I dunno what happened, but I hope it lasts!
