The New York Yankees won the World Series in 2000. A few days later, New Yorkers elected Hillary Rodham Clinton, an Illinois native who claimed to be a "lifelong Yankees fan," to the United States Senate.

Since then, here's the Yankees' record:

2001: Lost World Series to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
2002: Lost Division Series to the Anaheim Angels.
2003: Lost World Series to the Florida Marlins.
2004: Lost League Championship Series to the Boston Red Sox, in a historic collapse.

Coincidence? I think not.

Is The Curse of The Bambino dead? We'll know within the next ten days.
But The Clinton Curse is obviously alive and doing its filthy work.

I had no idea that Hillary Clinton grew up in Chicago as a "lifelong Yankee fan."

Anyone not from the immediate geographical NY area that roots for the Yankees is of suspect character in my opinion.

Total scandal.

I'm partial to the A-Rod curse theory myself. That guy is a cheating loser...

Neither did anybody else until she decided to run for the Senate.

In case you're thinking of putting me in the mix with Senator Lifelong Yankeefan, I wuz bawn in Da City an' grew up on The Island and to this day can recite the vital stats of the 1961 Yanks in detail that many people would consider to be unhealthy.

Guess who ELSE took office around that time?

This may be the best argument I have heard for voting for Bush. When he is in office the Yankees lose.

The sad thing is I am deadly serious as that may actually be the best argument....
