I was searching for something on Google, probably due to reading the JWT thread, and came across the Dragonfly Project, which uses 48 Canon lenses linked together. Does anyone know how/if this project is progressing? Their site doesn't seem to have been updated since 2019. Though I did find a link to a photography site, which says it has (will be?) extended to 168 lenses.

Seems an interesting use of commercially available lenses.

Oh, and it is to have a baby brother, in Australia.

Optical phased array?

No, each element has its own camera, the resolution of the array is the resolution of a single element. The basic advantage seems to be that they can collect exposures for stacking more quickly.
