Well, fess up. Please be specific, and if you're not registered to vote in the United States and/or didn't vote, please don't participate in the poll. Thanks.

Ironic that you should post that.

Sockpuppets aren't allowed to vote in US elections, but can wreak havoc on JREF forum polls. Power to the puppets!

Respecting greatly the thread starter (Hi W) and his request that nons don't vote, I have not. However, the BBC bods are all having fun at my expense covering this election live and on location I thought I would just appear and in some way feel part of the thing......now taking you back, live to the studio (while I dine royally on this rather excellent US food and fill my car with petrol for about 30 cents)....this is Reginald, Live, Florida USA.

And might I just chime in to congratulate Wolverine on reaching 1000 posts.

Once again, in just a few days, I've been shocked by something on this board. Very interesting exit poll results.

I guess my estimates of types of voters on this board were thrown off by a very vocal minority.

Wow, lookit all them GODLESS COMMUNISTS whut voted fer Kerry.

And now, we go live to Linda Moulton Howe, who'll undoubtedly be able to offer invaluable persective on the llama mutilation forecast during this important election...

Nice to see ya Reg. :)

I'd say thanks, but I used to be up around 1800 pre-fora-pruning, so... been there, done that (and I shan't demand a recount).

And don't forget his running mate, Phil McKracken.

Michael
I preferred his early running mate, Pat McCann --- but those sexual harrassment rumors killed his chances...

No options for the good people of Palau?
Today is also election day in Palau, a tiny independent Pacific island nation (population 20,000) currently in a "compact of free association" with the United States. President Tommy Remengesau jr is fighting for re-election on a platform of "preserving the best while improving the rest" against businessman Polycarp Basilius.
It would have added some poetry.

I knew that they had elections in Palau too, Capel Dodger. First because I live in a small country and condescending titles as the ones the communist paper you read prints that prove that collonialism is still the mainstream in Old Albion have no place here. We know that Palau exists.

Seriously, in the chef's forum there is a cook from Palau and we are close for some years now and you know why? Because his country and my dad's birthplace, Mani were doing business for the unwashed british ( they were pirates--our people I mean) so... we have almost the same kitchen! We both know how to cook cod-fish in 1000 different ways because the british apart from unwashed are cheap and this is how they paid people, by dried cod.

I am glad that Kerry doesn't seem to win. He reminds me so much of the late Andreas Papandreou, the man who destroyed Greece in the 80ies...I know that people believe that Bush is a monster but believe me his not worse than Kerry. At least with Bush you know what you get.

:D

BBC was funny though. I was very much disappointed by the way they covered the elections. They were prejudiced and they couldn't hide their preference.

Somebody must tell them that they were covering the elections in USA and not in Israel, the country they hate so much....
