The Carbonaro Effect

I saw some trailers and finally an episode on TruTV.

The show is about magician Michael Carbonaro performing magic on unsuspecting people, IE; In the episode I saw he pretended to work at a sporting goods store and pulled both a bowling ball and and an inflated basketball from a cardboard box only big enough to seemingly have one in at a time.

It's a fun show and I've only spotted a small handful of suspect camera cuts.


Not sure if anyone else has seen the show or heard of it yet.

I've seen a few episodes when others link to them online, and I found them quite amusing. Unlike others that I've seen (don't ask; my memory is not that good) he is sure not to offend or frighten the mark, nor does he take up too much of their time. Of course, that sort of stuff might happen in the edited bits...

I've seen a few episodes. It seems to me he is always behind a counter and someone underneath is helping him. That's the only way I can see it working. The Candid Camera aspect of it is quite funny.

I downloaded one episode (we dont get it in UK) so cant comment on particular ep you saw,but it all looks like genuine magic effects to me.
