I normally don't "share" websites but since this is a friend of mine and we talked about it I thought I would go ahead share this one. Any ideas on how to promote something like this to get some so-called "real" psychics involved?

Prediction Page

I predict... that psychics will read this line

To prevent psychic claims that to profit upsets their predictions, I will not be betting any of the numbers submitted. This is just a test to see if anyone can successfully predict the numbers.

and then say, "sure, Rebecca won't buy tickets based on my superaccurate prediction, but others will read the page and buy tickets thus violating the prime directive of psychic abilities."

(the prime directive, of course, is nobody other than me should profit from my psychic abilities.)

So a few self-deluded people will submit entries, but none of the famous crooks who masquerade as psychics will participate.

Even if someone predicts the numbers once, it proves nothing except that they defied the odds. Predict the correct numbers TWICE...now we're talking about something that should be looked into.

Why not set up the site so that when a predicition is made, the site only shows the number of predictions and for what lottery, only showing the numbers chosen after the date of the lottery drawing? Then no psychic can make the profit claim.

Of course, then they can make the "That's not the numbers I gues..er..psychically divined!" claim, so either way you're sunk.

If they could predict the correct numbers everytime, then it would be a miracle and I would have to sit up and take notice. Then again, there would be no lottery.
