TAM6 Arrival Times

Hey guys,

I just got my tax return so I'm all set to register for TAM. This year I was hoping to arrive earlier than my other TAMs so I can get the most from my vacation and maybe even volunteer. Tuesday afternoonish?

I wanted to start a thread where people could say when they are getting to Vegas so I know that, at least in theory, I'll have someone to hang out with.

I'll be getting there Monday, which means that I'll be in a vaguely sensible sate by Tuesday.
 
I arrive Tuesday morning. I plan to do some drivng around Nevada Tuesday and Wed., but will be about the hotel at least some of that time. I may hit the Gun Store for an early round of shooting as well.
 
Come now folks, this is no way to do an arrival thread...(I should know, I planned on doing one myself in about 2 weeks, but since King Merv went ahead without me.....

Post your information thusly:

I arrive Tuesday, June 17th at 10:30AM on American Airlines Flight 1887 from Dallas-Ft. Worth.

That way (1) others will know when to expect you and (2) the Hutch Ferry Service (with a colleague volunteering to help out this year!!) can see where the arrivals are bunched and make plans to meetup.

Press on.
 
I arrive Wed at 11. I am up for doing stuff that day, I will also likely catch some show(s) that evening.

I have a rental car, so if a few people arriving near the same time need a ride, I am happy to oblige.

I arrive Monday 16 June at 1:12PM on Westjet 988. I will probably be renting a car, decision to be made within the next couple of weeks, and can help out with the Hutch Ferry service as long as it doesn't interfere with my other plans. My other plans involve consuming alcohol by 8PM every night. This time may be slid for Newfies, Albertans and those I've previously met.

OK in that case I arrive in Vegas on virgin Atlantic flight VS043 from London Gatwick at 13:30 hours on 16 June.

Ooh, I get in about 20 min after you, if you would be prepared to help a jet lagged an insensible limy get to the hotel that would be fantastic :D

I also plan to consume alcohol...

I'm coming in on Wednesday at 5:25..Southwest Airlines. Does the Flamingo have a shuttle to/from the airport?

Fitter/Brodski--be aware that International Flights arrive at a Different Terminal than other flights (Terminal 1 is International), so it may be worth looking over airport maps so that you don't miss each other (then again, if Fitter is coming in from Canada, that may be at the international terminal too....:o )

Anyway, the McCarran airport site has lots of good info.

No, the hotels depend on the taxi/limo service to move people between hotels and don't want to sour relations with the cab companies by competing on a prime route.

So you can either take a taxi from the airport (tell them "The Flamingo Hotel, and don't go via the tunnel"--or so I've heard) or a shuttle bus, which is cheap ($6-$9 one way, IIRC), but may stop at 4-5 hotels before yours, so if you're in a hurry, not the best option.

Check out the McCarran airport website, very informative.
 
I arrive 3:27 Wednesday on CO 697. I do not plan to rent a car, I was going to take a shuttle or taxi.

I was hoping to find people to drink with volunteer activities.

Travis arrives Friday at 8:10 a.m. on SW 711. He probably doesn't know it yet, but he's taking a shuttle or taxi. :D

Okay, let's see, I arrive Tuesday the 17th at 10:02 (Exactly!) on Continental Flight 481 from Cleveland.

And I'd welcome some company on some road trips. We can discuss it when I get in.

One of the guys I'm sharing a room with arrives at 16:30 on Wednesday, June 18 via American Airlines flight #1417. I was planning on picking him up, so others close to this time can join us.

Normal Dude, since it will probably take at least half an hour for my luggage to show up (judging by my last few trips through McCarran), I may wait for you and hitch a ride. Hopefully you remember what I look like, and you can PM me if you need my cell number again. I'll buy the gas and a coffee if you need it. ;)

I will see what happens when I get there. I may end up just taking a taxi to the hotel and crash for a few hours. I am taking a red-eye from Maui to Denver, so I may be delayed and get in late anyway. Regardless, I still have your number and can leave a message if I choose to wait. :)
 
I am arriving Friday the 13th!?!? I didn't realize until typing that that there was a serious woo factor involved.

I have classes, conference stuff, etc to do everyday through the following friday, but the nights are MINE. My wife is probably coming out wednesday.

Do you peoples use AIM? I'll have a computator with me and aim might be an okay way to get (or keep) in touch. The forums might work for that too.
