TAM 8 DVD's

I heard Tracy King's company is probably doing them. Though, I have not heard anything about when to expect them.

I hope so. The TAM London ones are ace! I remember being unimpressed with the tech team at TAM 8, but I don't remember why. Think it was because Jeff seemed to be the first one onstage whenever there was a problem, regardless of how busy he was. The other guys seemed to be just wandering about looking a little lost, and not really paying attention.

Some of the TAM7 DVDs had a glitch and were unplayable on my standalone player, freezing at certain points.

They played OK on my PC so I copied each to a DVDR and then they played fine.

Hope this bug is sorted out for the next set. :)

Will we be allowed to talk while they are playing, or must we sit there and listen to Randi and Dawkins?

Bumping this because I didn't see TAM8 DVDs on offer at the JREF table at TAM9. When I asked people on the other side of the table, they assured me that I was the Nth person to inquire, but had no answer.

I feel like I missed a memo. And I don't see links to the online JREF Store. Clearly, another missed memo.

So what's the deal with the TAM8 DVDs and the JREF Store? And feel free to simply post links to the threads I should have been able to find on my own: if I earned a spanking, I'm happy to take it.

I asked several of the folks working the table about TAM8 DVDs and the status of the JREF store. None had a clue. One suggested I ask Mr. Randi, which didn't seem like a practical answer. Good folks as far as swiping credit cards and stuffing bags with swag from the table, but otherwise not at all knowledgeable about JREF workings.

I get the feeling that the JREF is moving away from producing DVDs and will be focusing on putting at least some of the videos online for free (as DJ announced they would be doing for TAM 9).

I asked Brian Thompson, new JREF Field Coordinator about the store in this thread (see post 29). He mentioned he would look into it, but I haven't heard anything more.

That would be my guess. Given the time and expense involved with making DVDs, I can't imagine they sell enough copies to make it worth the effort.
