Hi, all.

I registered for a ticket to the P&T show, which is listed as a "Saturday night show"... but when?

It's not on the Flamingo's Web site.

The dinner w/ Randy and Al is 8:30. So when's the show? After the dinner? I'm signed up for both, so I need to know.

Maybe it's listed somewhere and I'm missing it. I'm notoriously bad at sifting thru directions, schedules, and such, so it could be right under my snout somewhere.

If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.

If the dinner and show overlap, I'm going to have to sell my ticket to one or the other.

The dinner ends at 8:30, giving you time to head for the show.

See, I told you I was a total spaz at reading schedules. I'd gotten it in my head that the dinner started at 8:30.

Thanks for the correctification. I shall hog it up.

For those who have the timing to catch "the whole show" arrive at 8pm to see the wonderful "pre-show."

IIRC, the dinner with Randi will be at the Rio from 7:00 to 8:30. It's at the Rio so getting to P&T's show should be no problem.

Really? That is most excellent, as I can thoroughly enjoy my dinner with Randi and Friends and then go cap it all off with another awesome P&T show!

Time to go reserve those P&T tickets :)

I heard there was a special thing for the TAM folks at the P&T show that night. Does anyone know where the TAM folks will be seated?

ETA: Never mind, at this stage I think I'll just take what I can get :)

<Wayne> Excellent! </Wayne>

So that means I'm free to get schnockered at the Randi dinner.

Hoo boy. Let the pontificating begin!

My wife and I are going to see P&T on Thursday; I missed out on the discounted tickets and some bunch of TAMers took all of the premium seats Friday night. Anyone else going on Thursday?

Anyone know about transportation: Flamingo/Rio/Flamingo. I remember riding a TAM bus at TAM2, but I've missed the P&T show during subsequent TAMs. Is that stretch of Flamingo walkable?

Rio has a free shuttle that stops at three hotels on the strip. If memory serves, they run until midnight Monday-Thursday, and until 1am Friday and Saturday nights. Here's the pick up points (though it's good to double-check, because they're changed from time to time):

Caesar's: In front of the building (it's been moved from Augustus Tower entrance due to the construction).

Harrah's: Back entrance. Exit the building near the lobby, where the taxi stand is. Follow the sidewalk to your left and cross the parking area into the lowest level of their parking garage. Buses pick up and drop off there.

Paris/Bally's: Limousine entrance (Flamingo Rd side).

Door-to-door Flamingo to Rio is just a bit over a mile, so it's certainly walkable. It could, however, be a rather uncomfortable walk in 105-degree heat, so traveling in air-conditioned pods is very appealing. Plus, it's an extremely boring, un-scenic mile.

Couldn't find anything on Rio's site; found this

"If you want to get over to the off-Strip Rio, they have a free shuttle bus that stops in the back of Harrah's. Go to the back of the casino and exit near the hotel's registration desk and look for the "Bus Departures" area off to your left. Hours of operation are 10 am to 1 am with a frequency of every 20 to 30 minutes (depending on traffic). Note that when you are ready to leave the Rio to head back to the Strip, you will often have to wait for the second or third bus to come along as they can only fit about 20 people on a bus and they don't allow standing. As an alternative, walking to the Strip is a bit of a hike taking about 20 to 30 minutes. "

On this page.

If anyone else is doing the Randi Dinner / P&T Show combo, I have a rental car and can take 3 others from Flamingo to Rio, assuming that parking is available.

ETA: I'm leaving my house for the airport about noon tomorrow (Wednesday) so it's best to respond asap on this thread if you'd like a ride.

Yes, the Rio does have a massive free parking lot. But like at the other large hotels, it can take a while to walk from your car to your desitination, so be sure to allot time for that little trek.

For anyone planning to go to P&T sometime this week but has not yet bought tickets, you might be interested in signing up for "Total Rewards" at the Flamingo or one of its sister hotels - Rio, Imperial Palace, Harrahs, Caesar's, Paris or Ballys. When you sign up you get a booklet with discount tickets, including one for 25% off on up to four tickets to P&T.

It isn't good for "Ampersand" seating, which is the first few rows that also includes the souvenir program. But all the seats are good, and at least at the shows that I have seen, they tend to pick volunteers from the back and side anyway.
