TAM Volunteer Guy
Hi everyone,
It's TAM Time again, and that means I get to ask for help!
I spoke with D.J. and he told me that we're going back to all-volunteers this year. We'll need more people than last year, both before TAM to assemble the packets and badges, before and during TAM for registration, and during TAM to watch doors and check badges.
My rules are the same: I never require anyone to work during anything they've paid for, and no more than about four hours total throughout TAM. I can give you the same rewards as before: a volunteer t-shirt, an appreciation lunch, and the thanks of over a thousand other attendees.

, he said he has other commitments he needs to take care of this summer. It's unfortunate. Hope we can make everything work, especially as we're supposedly back to all volunteers this year, with no professional events company handling things. Things really need to start getting coordinated, with the JREF's input and direction, soon. I think someone will need to be hired to coordinate things, if someone familiar with what needs to be done can't be found quickly to volunteer to take over what Scott had been doing. I don't know what the JREF's plans are currently, though.
My free time in June simply vanished. I'm travelling to Florida on my free weekends to see my father; there's a product release at work at the end of the month; I may have to travel because of it next week; Lobby Day was last week; and a couple other things all conspired to take away all my free time.
