Oh, come on! There is plenty of Family-Friendly stuff in Las Vegas!

Several hotels, "Circus Circus", "Excalibur", and several others, have plenty of kid-friendly shows.
The Hilton has "Star Trek: The Experience", which is good enough for most children, perhaps not very young ones.

Lots of museums with animals, too!

I didn't read the whole article linked to, in the OP, but it does not seem to lack things to do and say.
