Received the following in an email this morning, subject "important about Sylvia Browne":

I wish to ask You, who are You, that You dare to stop anybody doing this what they do?
ARE YOU REALLY SO BORED?
I understand, that maybe You have some mental issues or no friends, no hobby and trying to get attention this way!!!
I can tell You, that You are wrong! MAybe You don't read Sylvia's books, they are amazing and helping people to understand God. But You possible don't believe in God...
If You do, fallow LAdy GAga and Merlin Manson, they worship devil, who don't even exist.
Please try to safe they planet, instead of ruin it and blocking good and brave energy which helps millions of people like Sylvia. Pray for her health, so she will do much more good things, because if she will be gone, there will be only people like You. And it will be big shame!
I hope the Angles will find the way to change You.

Wow. If God exists, then it follows that the devil exists.
It really is sad that people choose to be so selectively delusional.
Has Sylvia set up any charities or foundations for the benefit of the needy? I'm really curious to know Robert, and figure you are the best source that I know of for this type of information.

Who am I? My name is Robert S. Lancaster. I am a 53-year-old disabled computer programmer, living in Oregon (USA). I am a husband (to a wonderful lady), a father (to three adult children), a grandfather (to three lovely young ones), and a believer in spreading the truth where I see harmful lies, such as those Sylvia Browne has grown rich telling.

I understand, that maybe You have some mental issues or no friends, no hobby and trying to get attention this way!!!


"mental issues"? Well, I did suffer a massive stroke in August of 2008 which did damage certain areas of my brain, but most of the StopSylvia site was written before that, so the stroke was not the reason.

I can tell You, that You are wrong!


If you have any evidence that I am wrong, and that Browne is really psychic, please share it with me.


MAybe You don't read Sylvia's books, they are amazing and helping people to understand God.


I own more than fifty of her books, but have only read five or six of them all the way through. I do not find them "amazing" at all. No, I find them to be full of her lies about being psychic. I firmly believe that she writes them not to enlighten people, but to make money.

If you would actually read my site (instead of criticising it without reading it), you would know that I am agnostic (I don't claim to know whether or not there is a God or Goddess).

I am not "ruining the planet". I am simply placing the evidence about Browne out where anyone interested can read it. You, it seems, are not interested in examining the evidence, but would rather instead blindly believe in her "abilities" because they appeal to you.


Pray for her health, so she will do much more good things, because if she will be gone, there will be only people like You. And it will be big shame!

I am agnostic, and so do not pray. But, when Browne had a heart attack back in June, I publically wished her a speedy recovery. I hear she is doing much better now, and I am glad for her family's sake. I do not wish her harm. I only want her to stop hurting people with her lies.

She has, for years, stated her intentions to set up such charities. Last time I checked (before my stroke), I found no evidence of any.
 
The email. If only they had put as much effort into their email as you did in your reply, was very sincere.
 
I don't think it could have been more tasteful. With the 8-ball lined up like that, you might as well have pocketed it. :D

Do you think it would beneficial to list all the good she does for the needy, that is giving or donating, as opposed to all the good she does for the needy, that is taking their money and being the one to benefit?
 
My first impression of the email was that it was pure Poe. The errors seem to me to be sloppily generated on purpose.

I hope you used the colored fonts in your reply to him.:D
 
How do you maintain such constraint? I speak my mind too much, I'm afraid I'd just let rip.

I once emailed her business manager Linda, after she (Linda) had stated (on either Larry King Live or Anderson Cooper 360) that Browne donated generously to many charities. I asked her for any evidence of that, saying that I would publish her reply on my site if she so desired. I don't believe I received a response.

Indeed I did. I started to put her statements in [[ double square brackets ]] and my responses in << whatever these are >>, but decided the colors were more intuitive. the correspondent is female, by the way. pink (magenta, actually) for the girl, blue for the boy.

just like on the site, I figure that being straightforward and matter-of-fact rather than hostile and/or snarky has a better chance of being heard and considered.
