Something old, something new (Jack Chick's latest)

Jack is strange bloke - he didn't start all this new world order stuff did he?

As a paranoid trope "New World Order" got popular when Bill Clinton was president.

Before that George Bush père called his post-Communist foreign policy "New World Order".

Awesome!

The bolsheviks in the cartoon actually very nearly quoted Jesus in the first half, only to be shown that, apparently, Jesus was a tool of the Jews.

Or something.

Ah, the old phone-call/shotgun trap. Plod jumps into it with both big, flat feet every time.

It's a lot more nearly rational than his later stuff about Islam, Nazis, and Communists all being Vatican plots.

Hippies revolting and killing people is a bit passe. Hippies are old and gray these days and the younger generation just isn't into revolution and flower power. Jack Chick is two generations behind times.

I liked it how the strict gun laws of the United States made them easy pickings for the revolutionists. I bet that's a real big concern in Jack Chick's neighbourhood.

Sort of related,

I watched a documentary called God's Cartoonist a few months ago. I was afraid it would be a "HA HA! Everybody make fun of Jack Chick!", but it came off as being fairly even handed look at people that could benefit from modern psychotherapy.

Jack doesn't appear on Camera because of all the Christians groups trying to kill him, but his main artist does, Kent Hovind, His researcher, One of his writers, the wife of another writer and a few people that are fans.

And it turns out the people behind Chick tracts are even nuttier than I imagined.

He met a guy named John Todd That told him the truth about the Illuminati. Who was later thrown in jail for rape. Except it wasn't rape, he was framed by Strom Thurmond.

And Alberto Rivera that told him the truth about the Catholics creating Islam to bring people closer to the Pope. He was poisoned by Jesuits that constantly rob his house. He died of the poisoning(The catholic doctors called it 'cancer') and the family buried it in an undisclosed location to keep the Jesuits from using his body in a ritual.

His last was Rebbecca Brown She ran an underground railroad rescuing people from the large satanic covens that infest the US and discovered things like yoga is a satanic plot to make it easier for demons to possess people.

His artist actually seemed like a decent fellow, but he wasn't interviewed too much.

Go back and read my review.

It's a re-issue of one from the 1970s.

Chick tracts are very entertaining, but I wonder if they are an effective evangelical tool now. Is Jack still alive? I remember seeing his tracts in the 70's (no I'm not old just timeless ;) ).

Timeless my ass, I'm OLD. :jaw-dropp

As to Chick, yes, he's around. I was picking up a load near his main publication facility. Creepy, non-descript place in the LA area. It was probably a nicer neighborhood at one time, but now...? Wouldn't want to be there after dark.
