Interesting article about Scientology and forced slave labor.

"Lindstein says that from 1990 until 2006, starting when he was just 8 years old, he "performed this work as a virtual slave, working 16 to 24 hours days with no sleep, no time off and no personal freedom" at Gold Base, a mysterious and once-secret headquarters that "resembles a prison camp," with razor wire, security guard patrols, surveillance posts and three roll calls each day."

I hope this goes all the way.

I suppose that yet another exposure of the inner workings of the Church of Scumology will not have much impact with the True Believers but hopefully this will cost the "Church" a dollar or two and get widely enough reported that a few potential recruits will be saved.

BTW, where's Fred? Surely enough time has passed by now to have him re-audited back into believerhood?

This sounds like it will be challenging for the plaintiff to substantiate.

Drain them of billions. Wipe them out. And get them to join up with the Raelians.

I know this is largely preaching to the converted here, but this is the single best systematic dismantling of Scientology I have ever read:

A Piece of Blue Sky

Easier to get a good grounding with that vs. trying to piece together all the bits at Operation Clambake, though OC obviously has some more up-to-date info.

The reason I brought this up is that I was wondering if anyone had ever pointed a Scientologist at that, and if so, what was their excuse for not reading it? Oh wait... having read it myself, I already know the answer to that :deadhorse
