Saving private Lynch

Doesn’t she have amnesia I can just see it they air the movie on TV and she gets her memory back and realizes they have it all wrong. lol

1. Suppose those Iraqis are right and she was treated friendly.

2. Suppose some guys come over to Jessica in the near future and tell her: We're jurnalists/producers/whatever and we'd like to write a book/make a movie about what happened to you in Iraq. But keep in mind:
If they were nice to you in that hospital, then everything's fine and we're happy for you. But no one will buy a book/go to a movie just to hear that the whole story is about a nice girl talking to nice nurses.
But if your story is about a courageous young woman being threatened and abused before being saved in a risky last-minute rescue operation, then you'll probably make millions. Real millions. And no one will get harmed in any way.
Hell, you could even buy each of those nurses a house later, in case you should feel a little guilty.
-Insert stuff like "think of your children's future..." and so on...-

3. Suppose you are Jessica Lynch.

I hope I'd resist the temptation. I think I would, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyway, I get more scared when fantasizing about possible remorse than thinking about not being a rich guy... ;)
BTW, looking at Jessica's picture, I think I'd trust her sincerity more than I trust mine. She really looks like the honest girl next door.
What do you think you would do?

Right now it is nearly impossible to say what actually happened. Does she actually have amnesia or was she told to have amnesia so that there would be no public discussion of her treatment until she was able to leave the hospital and deal with it?

Considering the extent of her injuries, and the fact that she said on rescue that she had not been fed in eight days, I doubt she has amnesia. Just my guess. Also, this amnesia thing has only been mentioned recently, not soon after her arrival.

As far as the statements of the personnel at the hospital, they may be seen as self serving. Who can tell what they actually did or failed to do. They apparently didn't feed her or didn't feed her much, and at least some beat her, because that was what prompted Muhammed to walk several miles toward US lines.

I don't know whether other surviving members of her unit saw her capture and treatment. It is certainly possible. Knowing what happened may not depend on her memory even if she has amnesia. It's still early and the reports of what actually happened are still highly classified and incomplete.
