Apparently the RIAA has lost its draconian 220,000 verdict against Mrs. Thomas. The P2P network in this case was Kazaa I believe. The grounds for dismissal was not due to the excessive amount of money being asked for in the verdict, but the judge did state that the amount was indeed "disproportionate".
I haven't read the entire verdict as my kid is in the tub right now, but I plan to in an hour or so when he is out.
The P2P debate rages onward!
On to her next trial I suppose =(
