Registering multiple domains questions

Has anyone registered multiple domains using GoDaddy.com or another similar site? Their help is extensive but too much for me to wade through for my simple questions:
If I order a hosting package will I be able to have all my domains point to that hosting server (at various locations, of course)? Or will I need to order hosting for each domain?

All I'm looking to do is have different domain names that
will point to the one hosting server without the URL changing.

I use active-domain.com to register and run DNS. I can control the settings for all the domains from their domain panel. It has some bulk changing features.

I separate my hosting from my registration/DNS. This prevents the hosting company from holding my domain hostage if I ever want to leave.

Most hosting servers will not allow you to point several domains at the same hosted site, however some registries (including active-domain) offer a service called URL Frame or URL Cloaking that allows you to point one domain at another and not have the URL change when users connect.
