I have been back in Los Angeles for less than 24 hours and I've got three, my mom, my boyfriend, and my former Calculus teacher.

:D

LA, I haven't missed a TAM. This year I brought 2 new recruits, my younger daughter and brother!!!

Next year my husband insists HE isn't be left out (he gave up his spot of Kitten2).

I'm afraid to even TELL anyone! Where will we all fit? (How about the Rose Bowl? )

I am sure that my wife is going to come along too so that she can keep me in line. Supposidly some of the things that I brought home were a little bit strange to her.

Though there have been a bunch of people that I have talked to that I am going to try to bring next year. The world is changing and people are moving more and more towards this line of thinking. As this slowly gains in pop culture more people will start showing up and it will just keep getting bigger and bigger.

Jlam and the lady who will by then be Mrs. JLam will most certainly be attending next year. I can't miss it again!

I've got my hubby and I'm making it my mission to bring a throng next year!
Hi, sista! I was so happy you came to TAM and that I to meet you and talk with you at the PJ party. I a-l-m-o-s-t have Hubby convinced to attend TAM. We'll see what happens next time around.

My two friends who tagged along with me for various parties both said they really want to come by next year.

You know, this was much more interesting when I read it as "I'm making it my mission to bring a THONG next year." :D
I guess it may be time to think about bifocals afterall....

I enjoyed meeting you at the PJ party, ST, and hope you do come back!

Hey, I think I missed you. But I did spend some time talking to your brother. Great guy.

A pox on the lot of you, now I'm going to have to try and find the money to get over there next year. This is very unfair, you should not be allowed to post here how great it was.

Hmm... anyway, I've been meaning to ask: Aside from airfares and such, approximately how much should I expect to put away for this thing? I'm not talking about cost of booze and suchlike diversions but the normal cost of hotel room and directly associated expenses.

Hard number for me were 280 for the flight, ~325 for registration as a member, and I think the room was about 60 a night. Less if you can find a roomate.

Then beyond that there is food and such but you can keep that on the cheap with what they provide for you.

I just got home a few hours ago too, and I think next year I'll come alone.

Kim had a nice time and everything, but was starting to give me the guilt trip because she's not as social as I am. *sigh*

I sure had an awesome time with everyone that I hung around with, but I'm still surprised how many forumites that I didn't meet. :(

Bring A Friend!!!

Let's act like the fundies do when they go to a "revival" stop at nothing to convince at least one other person to come with.

I am so happy to have met everyone and next year I will bring a throng all wearing thongs, so there will be delights all around!

I paid $450/flight $160/3 nights hotel with roommate MattFN rocks! $25/dinner I'm putting my pennies in a TAM5 jar, and I am also hoping to be able to donate to the scholarship fund too next year.

Why don't we make a shirt and have all proceeds go to the scholarship fund?

I'm definately coming next year. I have the bail money put away already.

MLynn, & sistathinker you bring your hubbies, and I'll bring mine! I'm working on him, and getting him to think of all the money we'll save if we only have to buy maybe half our meals and get a great TAM deal on the Hotel room.

We need some equally great folks like the Mythbusters to come again too. Are they coming back next year? Oh, and I told him about the poker tourney...it got him thinking!

TAM5 is a milestone year afterall. 5. Really cool.

Gimme more ideas, please!

I would have thought that the pillowfight pictures from TAM 3 would have been enough to get your hubby to go.
