Here's a website bringing to light racism issues in Australia. It has also been reported Australia has some of the worst human rights records when it comes to its treatment of its original inhabitants.

I'm interested to hear what some "australians" think?

Just as a starting place.

Which bits do you want to discuss?
What is your opinion on it/them?
Why do you have these opinions?
And what do you think should occur?

You're quoting ANTAR civil rights activists? May as well cite PETA as rational authorities on meat eating, Greenpeace on the environment and Sea Shepherd on whaling.

Our human rights are sooooo bad that there are asylum seekers arriving in their thousands each year.

Major fail gerg.

and what exactly is wrong in their claims?
for those that havent met ANTAR yet.

No wrong way around DC. Gerg is making a claim that australia is racist. He needs to provide better evidence than a press release from a native title group.

Well, I for one will happily admit that there is racism in Australia. Ask anyone's grandfather. I have a question though.

Why the quotes around "australians"? Do you think we're all just pretending, or something?

Of course there's racism in Australia wolli, but did you read the links? I just get pissed off with the characterisation of the whole nation as being racist.

aah i see they are also biased, just like greenpeace and all those other darn groups you disagree with?
And it's easy to hide ignorance behind a couple of websites. When I'm convinced you know what you are talking about I will engage in conversation with you. You will note that I have never professed an opinion about the inherent racism of the Swiss.

i never claimed Australia to be Racist.

i wonder if there is indeed some real issues like ANTAR claims.

shall i be convinced that ANTAR is nonsence just because you say so?

who is according to you an authority or unbiased organisation when it comes to Racism?

What makes you think this is a new issue?

It has also been reported Australia has some of the worst human rights records when it comes to its treatment of its original inhabitants.
Perhaps you might like to reference some of these reports for us. There's plenty of hype about. Let's get some facts first if you want to discuss. Not that I'm saying it did not happen and is not happening now. But this is an issue that can rapidly suffocate under the weight of massive overstatement and strawmen if not treated carefully from the outset.

Why in quotes? Not trying to make a political statement of some sort, are we, hmm?

Which part?

So you actually have no idea?
my bold

Let's talk when you
a/. Have an opinion.
b/. Have a basis for that opinion and
c/. Have some specifics you would like to discuss.

Same goes for the rest of those who think they would like to 'play'.

We all know Australia is nothing more than a province of New Zealand.
