Known as "Prussian Blue" — a nod to their German heritage and bright blue eyes — the girls from Bakersfield, Calif., have been performing songs about white nationalism before all-white crowds since they were nine.

"We're proud of being white, we want to keep being white," said Lynx. "We want our people to stay white … we don't want to just be, you know, a big muddle. We just want to preserve our race."

What the ABC reporters and editors might not realize is that "prussian blue" was also used as a dye for German army uniforms...and also figures in Holocaust denial.

("Prussian Blue" is also the name of an English blues band...and they make pretty cool music. No relation to the pseudo-Aryan progeny discussed above.

Note, however, that this duo should not be confused with the pre-existing band Prussian Blue®, who have actually had to trademark their name because of this (or so I strongly suspect).

Well, I can't say I've encountered too many of the "tribalists" you describe, and considering I attend The Evergreen State College, that's saying something. But even if I did, what would that have to do with whether or not I was justified in having a problem with neo-nazi trash presuming to speak for my entire "race"?

No problem with that. I would only wonder- why waste the effort, when the greatest insult of all is to ignore someone? This was, in fact, a non-issue until Matt Drudge brought it up.

This crossed my mind too. Their interview responses seem way too sophisticated for kids of that age.

And American, the reason people don't react as strongly to those who celebrate their black identity is because people who fall over themselves to defend something that isn't remotely under threat usually have an agenda. As this pair are holocaust deniers and have a father who wears a swastika belt buckle, this certainly seems to be the case here.

Heh. Some days it seems like I'm surrounded by Greeners.

While Evergreen State might be an uber-liberal school full of trust-fund hippies; it's stuck in one of the less liberal parts of the state. Actually, pretty much anything outside of central King County/metro Seattle is likely to be heavily populated by rednecks and assorted other "tribalists".
