We are in the wrong buisness.

My not-quite-skeptical sister calls me because she is looking to waste a goodly chunk of her money. She directs me to http://www.futurehorizons.net/psi.htm and asks what I think about the "Meditation Goggles".

I tell her that, in my opinion, she'd be better off spending the 300 bucks on the "Wishing Machine" and then just wishing for the Meditation Goggles. And while she's at it she can wish for the bike helmet with the Atlantean Power Rod glued to the top. That alone more than pays for the Wishing Machine, it's like she's making 200 bucks in the process.

I had assumed, since she's known me her entire life, that my intended sarcasm would have been more apparent. My assumptions were horribly wrong.

I say once again, we are in the wrong business.

From the link:

The ELF(Extremely Low Frequency) Goggles are a combination of our Meditation goggles and our popular Elf oscillator into one highly effective unit. [emphasis mine]
Does Legolas know about this?

I loved the copy for the Electronic Mind Control device:
The government used this technology during Desert Storm to influence the Iraqi's to surrender. They set up huge radio transmitting towers near the battle zone and transmitted powerful Silent Sound messages to the Iraqi's to surrender.
Yeah, the stupefyingly superior military force bearing down on their heads was just a ruse. All those tanks, planes, bombs, and missile were movie props, mere subterfuge to disguise the Silent Sound being broadcast from all those cleverly hidden "huge radio towers."

I don;t think these things are new. i remember seeing dudes hawking them at malls in my youth (at least a decade ago).

I have a rock that keeps lions away.

Would you like to buy it?
