This month's Philosopher of the Month is Rush Limbaugh. Mr. Limbaugh is known as much for his refined manners and gentle spirit as for his philosophy, but he can reason with the best of them. He has taken to introducing new terminology for complex topics for which existing terminology was inadequate, e.g. feminazis. Modern day philosophy would be very different without him.

I can't stay peeved at you after that. That was hilarious. ;)

Too right AP!

RL is a Sexual Tyrannasaurus of Mastodinic porportions!

His intellect has more energy than a million quasars!

His arguments are as compelling as Marlboro Super Mario Brothers Crack!

His ... (well, you get the idea!)

This is a trolling post if I ever saw one. ;)

However, for the sake of argument, care to justify this with a few examples of his revolutionary philosophy?

We have to give him credit for cutting through the philosophical tangle and finally giving us an easy way to tell Good People from Bad People. Now THAT age-old argument is finally settled.

Oh, I finally get it. Duh.

Quite early April Fool's morning here still.

You mean apart from his successful attempt to convert the appellation "liberal" from a mere description of political attitudes to a pejorative?

Or would his confusion of volume with factuality be more along the lines of what you're looking for?

Can we really lay that at his feet? The really brilliant person was whoever added "flaming" to "liberal". Since we all know what noun the word "flaming" is usually associated with, it's an instant and permanent assertion that all liberals are homosexuals. Brilliant disinformational tactic, like the neologism "pro-life".

I can't think of as good an insult in the other direction. Nazi-huggers? Rightophiles?

I'm a moderate who still uses "bleeding heart" as a pejorative for liberals but my insult for neo-cons has to be a sentence more than a simple appellation. "S/he puts the jerk back in knee-jerk reactionary."

Kinda sums up reactionary radio and F-ing No Class "news" IMO.
