Anyone up for a private poker party? When in Vegas, do as the Vegasians do.

Buy in could be $20 or $100, depending on participation.

Games can either be dealer calls it or Texas Hold 'em.

Either reply or PM if you are interested.

Game night is up in the air and up for suggestion.

I'm up for it. I prefer dealer's choice. I like Texas Hold'em, but I like other games too. Better to mix things up a bit.

OK, but prefer a Texas Hold'em, as I haven't played poker regularly since the 1980's and would hate to keep asking the table "how do you play this game?" No more than $100, I need to keep money available to lose at Blackjack....

This is pretty tempting. Depending on the night, I might be up for it. If it's up against the PJ party, forget it. A man's gotta have priorities.

I am soooo stupid! I assumed that my buddy and I were staying in a suite, alas we are not. BigShoeStu even looked into upgrading our room to a suite, but they are booked solid. SO, in order to have this poker game, we will need a volunteer willing to allow a game to happen in their room which could accomodate a poker party. Any possibilities?

Yes, an unfortunate oversight my friend. I really like Kevin's idea of a Poker Party and I would be happy to arrange and host it. The downside being that we will need someone to volunteer their Suite to make it happen. We should be able to get a folding table and chairs from the Hotel large enough to accommodate 8 to 10 players and I will provide the poker chips and cards. If anyone is willing to give up the space in their room for a good portion of a fun evening (at the same time guaranteeing yourself a seat at the table) please post here or IM myself or Kevinsbikes.

Uh guys, I really don't think you want to be advertising to the Casino that you are going to play a "friendly" game of poker in your room--Casino's are in the business of gambling and I don't believe they take kindly to outside competition, even if it's from hotel guests.

My suggestion is since they have a poker room in the Casino why not see if we can get a table (up to 10-12 can sit in the game) for a 'private' game, and since we're all hotel guests paying good money for our hotel stays, it should be able to be arranged. There may be a fee, but whats a couple of bucks if we're already in for $20-$50-$100?

Just food for thought...besides, the casino owns all those neat chips you can push in the pot...

Already thought about that. We would have to tell the Hotel/Casino we need the table and chairs for our seance and reading of the Tarot.

I like your idea of getting our own poker table in the casino, but I don't like the idea of the casino raking up to $3.00 of our money on every single hand we play. If at all possible I would prefer keeping it a private and friendly game, especially if we want to end up playing for smaller stakes like $0.25-$0.50 and/or want to play Dealers Choice. It's a much friendlier and more social event that way. No chance at inviting the Skepchics in for some Strip Poker either. ;)

Regardless, if we can or can't arrange our own private game, you will likely find me in the Poker Room anyway.

Dude, I am so with you. I would prefer a friendly low to mid stakes private game. So, if there isn't a room up for use, then I will probably fly solo with my wing man, BigShoeStu.

...and I am definately up for Skepchick strip poker. I am going to arrive prepared. I will wear a watch and a g-string. There is nothing like the visual of a pasty fat guy in a g-string. Then I am going to order waffles!
